The Aran Island of Inishmore - no sheep to be seen

What a disappointing day. I expected to see sheep that produced the wool used in Aran knit sweaters - none to be seen. I expected to be able to see The Worm Hole, but the farmers' fields that had the access had big "no trespassing" signs. I expected to see seals hauled up on the rocks - nothing.
The only thing worth seeing was the stone fort Dun Aonghasa - what a view. Not sure it was worth the 10 mile hike to get there.
