August 25, 2025 from the itinerary: catch the GWR train at 10:20, transfer at Guildford and then again at Haslemere. Should be home by about 17:02

Walking to the train station in the morning to buy some coffee for the journey. There was a seagull drinking from the dog bowl (see the video at the bottom).

My carriage was at the front of the train and I bought a coffee for buni too

It's the end of the last bank holiday weekend before the Christmas holidays. What could possibly go wrong....

We left on time and things started out well. There were some nice views of St. Michael's Mount and we went over the bridge in Hayle. I felt like I was reliving my journey. The train was totally packed, but amazingly the trolley service (included in my first class ticket) was working. I think I got my money's worth after about 5 teas and lots of snacks which I am saving for later.

We were delayed about 30 minutes out of Exeter so I will get a portion of my ticket refunded, but it meant I was an hour delayed getting home.

The traffic was bad on the roadways too.

Thankfully the grocery is open until 8pm.

Here are some videos - the seagull drinking the dog water and crossing the bridge in Plymouth.
