Taking the Croagh Patrick Pilgrimage - Shoes On

The Croagh Patrick Pilgrimage is a hike done shoe-less by devotees. I can't imagine it as the rocks were really sharp and loose. It is thought that this is where Saint Patrick ridded Ireland of its snakes. I did see one couple hiking without shoes. The best thing was the ice cream at the end:)
