From the Itinerary: A 9am pickup for a half day city tour with guide Pedro Pastor. Then off to the airport for our return flight.
Cotopaxi was beautiful with its snow - it looked a lot like Mt. Fuji. Unfortunately no photo.
We started the day going to the Virgin of El Panecillo
which also afforded a beautiful view of the city.
You could see it spreading along the valley and into the hills.
and they had a cool cistern

We walked through the center plaza and saw the changing of the guard - unfortunately there's an ugly fence in the way
On the Calle de las Siete Cruces we stopped at the Church of La Compania
where I got to ring the bells
Then tragedy struck as we went for a tour of Yumbos and ended up buying $200 worth of chocolate....
At this point it was time to get back to the airport where we enjoyed champagne

and some weird green alcoholic drink

and finally settled into our seats

to watch the sun set over Ecuador
Dinner was the same menu as coming out, but the food quality wasn't as good. Here are some photos
So this ends our adventure to The Galapagos. I look forward to a bit of relaxation before my next big trip to Botswana in the summer.
