Last Full day
We were allowed to sleep in this morning and I tried breakfast as it was our last full day. I had wonderful coffee and cheese bread.

We went for a Morning paddle which was nice because it was still cool. Rob and Lisa photo-bombed my selfie... just kidding. I photo-bombed the photo I took of them:)
We paddled across the lake and back down the black creek.
Here's what we saw:
Wattled jacana
Limpkin (no photos)
Caimansx2-
Great kiskadee (no photo)
Ladder tail Nightjar (no photo)
Monkeys
Green kingfisher

Rufescent tiger heron
Capped heron (no photo)
Anhinga
no photos of:
Spix’s Guan
American pigmy kingfisher
Coraya wren
White chinned jacamar
Weaver birds
more, more, and still more Hoatzin
fungus, fungus, fungus
hyacinth flowers
other pretty flowers
We had a hike through the forest on the way back. This was kind of interesting as the walkway from the boat “dock” was simply a wooden walkway above the swamp.
Once we got to terra firma there was a path. We went off road to see some monkeys which ran from us and we didn’t actually see anything.
On the way back we saw a Black tailed Trogan (no photo)

the night frog again
and fungus, fungus, fungus
and some very pretty flowers, trees and medicinal tress and plants

and termite mounds on the trees
It was lovely to get back and get rid of the awful wellies
From the tower at the hotel we saw all the below, but no photos....:
Black vulture
Macaw
Giant cow birds
Blue grey tanenger
Woodpeckers
Slaty backed forest Falcon
Pedro knows shamans who can guide Iowasca experiences, so something to pursue for Chris.
Before dinner I had a nice rest on my hammock and watched the rain come in and looked at the orchids
Got the pack wrapped and am very glad I saved the original plastic wrap because they didn’t have any here- all we needed to do was tape up the ends.
We met for one last drinks and dinner
Dinner included cheese pizza

All looking good for my long travel day tomorrow .
